  • Research interest: Computational analysis of MR-based medical imaging data of the human brain

Kwangsun Yoo was born in 1987 and raised in Seoul till 12-year-old. In 1998, he moved to Jeongeup city, Jeollabukdo and he graduated Jeonbuk Science High School in 2005. Then, he entered KAIST and double majored in Physics and Mathematics as an undergraduate student. After that, he started his graduate course in the Laboratory for Cognitive Neuroscience and NeuroImaging, the Department of Bio and Brain Engineering, KAIST. He received a Master's degree with the thesis "Influence of task load on training-induced functional plasticity of the brain using fMRI". Since 2011, he has been a Ph.D. student in the same laboratory and is interested in computational analysis of MR-based medical imaging data of the human brain. More specifically, he is working on the analysis of connectivity profile and network properties of the healthy and disordered brain by applying mathematic theories such as graphy theory and complex network theory.
